Great for dogs! Easy trail. Dog friendly. A little rocky. Have been here couple of times before, but never had the chance to explore the trails further.
French Creek (Allegheny River tributary)
There are numerous interconnecting trails everywhere so that you could almost just pick one and would eventually end up connecting to another that will take you back where you started. The trail as highlighted on this map specifically is the only one that has blazes on it yellow and they only begin at the top after making the sharp left going counter-clockwise. Had a bit of trouble picking the right path getting started up the hill, but eventually get to a cairn on a wider path which heads up.
There is quite a bit of random graffiti all over the place the closer to the town you are There are some rather impressive artworks on the larger rocks. The northern part of this loop is probably the more scenic part since it parallels the stream.

The trail was nice but very rocky. I would go back and hike it again. Good trail with dogs and daughter! Weekday morning- very peaceful and steady. This is a legit moderate hike, my 9 and 6 were challenged but no real issue. I have been hiking this trail for many years.
It is a great trail for a quick, after work, hike.

It takes about one hour. Great work out and stress buster hike! Great people hiking but trails so far have been very rocky.
Beautiful place though And horseshoe trail is also washed out pretty bad It was an extra mile to and from where this trail says to park. Part of the recorded trail is not actually on any trail. It was almost all uphill and very rocky.
